I know deviantART and I have had some good times but I think that it's time to say farewell. While I've had a lot of fun, I just don't want to put anything up anymore. I've ridden the anime fanart train for too long and unfortunately I'm just getting bored. I've matured as an artist and I have been on deviantART for 7 years! A lot has changed since I started here; I've grown up. And sadly growing up means that I have left a lot of the old things that I used to enjoy. I don't even watch anime anymore!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not placing my self above anyone. dA really helped me early on when I was just learning about making art and it really inspired and propelled me forward. This site is so helpful but I think it is training wheels for bigger things. I hope others can learn to use dA as training wheels and know that they can move on and be bigger than dA.

This all completely aside from the fact that I no longer support the site and where it's going anymore. dA is getting so much money and it only wants more and while we give it to them and give them art that they use to get hits, they do nothing in return. Instead they hype things we have to pay for...*cough* Muro, points, subscriptions *cough*. Frankly, I just don't want to be associated with it anymore.

It's likely that I'll open a non-art account just to socialize and collect work but I don't want people to think my activity means I'm still here. I mean, I will be here. But not here. You know what I mean.

So I'm going to leave this journal up for a bit just so people know what's up before I deactivate. If you liked my artwork feel free to save it. Fan art is for everyone.
