So this is the finished piece. I chose Sailor Moon as the subject of this picture for two reasons, one: I like the show, and two: I thought it would be my little thanks to the show for getting me interested in drawing and painting - an interest that has paved the course I'm currently on in life. So what better way than to have this as my first major piece on this account?
This took me...oh...like two or three weeks. And I'm not quite sure if I want to leave it like this. Either way though I'm going to call it done right now. If I feel it needs a touch up as I learn more about digital painting I'll be sure to fix it. Anyway. Please let me know what you think about this I'm very open to criticism - I think I'm one of the few people that actually try out the suggestions I get.
So anyway if you add this to your favorites please leave a comment so I can get an idea of if I should continue or improve my techniques. Oh and thanks to everyone whose been tracking my progress I appreciate all your encouragement.
While I was painting it I was thinking that it was a dire situation since she doesn't use her crystal unless everything is going down the crapper. Lol. I'm happy you like it though.
Oh thank you! I appreciate it and I'm really glad you like it. I was thinking that it was a pretty bad situation since she doesn't pull out her full power until everything has gotten really really bad. So I thought that if she had it out everyone should look pretty unhappy.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
